Ageing distribution grids need faster, evidenced decisions

Around 40% of Europe's distribution grids are over 40 years old and need to be modernised, says the EU Action Plan for Grids, and grids must become digital and monitored in real time. PACE turns cable and transformer condition into a ranked, evidenced view of what needs attention first.

From partial-discharge signal to operator-ready action

The EU says the electricity grid needs a detailed level of observability, and that the speed of its digital transformation needs to increase significantly. PACE classifies known partial discharge signatures automatically, and each ranking opens into the measurement behind it.

Where Europe's grid investment meets maintenance

About EUR 584 billion of investment in the electricity grid will be required between 2020 and 2030, in particular in the distribution grid, and a substantial part will need to be in digitalisation. Asset Management Center turns condition into one order of work, so the maintenance and replacement programme follows measured need.

Building compliance-by-design for the EU AI Act

Where an AI system is a safety component in electricity supply, the AI Act treats it as high-risk and asks for logs, transparency for those who use it, and effective human oversight. In PACE, every ranking opens into its measurement, and oversight stays with the engineer.

Vendor-agnostic diagnostics: one ranked list across assets

The EU calls for interoperability among different systems and technical solutions, and seamless exchange of data between actors. Data Control Center brings each vendor's data into one structure, and Asset Management Center holds every asset in a single ranked view.

The limits of automated diagnostic interpretation

The AI Act asks that people overseeing high-risk AI understand its limitations, stay aware of automation bias and can override its output. In PACE, an engineer verifies each verdict against the measurement rather than taking it on trust.

Pilots that prove value against real operational constraints

The EU Action Plan for Grids notes that commercial technologies that can greatly improve the grid are readily available but not sufficiently used, and that demonstrated projects give clear arguments for their use. A REDXGRID pilot shows what it finds on your own assets, with your data.
